ADS Profile 4 - Private Sector reformers and promoters of pro-poor growth
This category of scholarship seeks to improve standards of corporate governance and delivery of services associated with sustainable, pro-poor development within commercial private sector organisations.
Profile Specific Eligibility Criteria:
This category targets applicants employed in commercial private sector organisations who can demonstrate a commitment and clear plan as to how their qualification will enable them to add value to standards of corporate governance and contributing to the improved delivery of services associated with sustainable, pro-poor development. People working in Balochistan, FATA and KP are encouraged to apply.
Fifty per cent of awards will be allocated to female applicants. Applicants with disability or who are working with people with disability in the priority sectors are encouraged to apply.
Candidates must:
- be applying for a course that is relevant to improved corporate Governance (e.g Master in human resource development, finance, public relations, public administration)
- meet the general minimum eligibility criteria and submit a personal statement
- have an outstanding academic background
- have a minimum of two years of work experience in the relevant field
- have an excellent command over the English Language as indicated by at least an overall current IELTS Band of 7.0 with no band less than 6.0
- submit a personal statement that clearly articulates how the new skills could add value to improved corporate governance and to the improved delivery of services associated with sustainable, pro-poor development
- not be above 45 years at the time of submitting the application form
Support Service
- Provision of course and research advice for shortlisted candidates.
- Access to Foundation Awards as deemed appropriate on a case-by-case basis.
- Standard ADA support conditions for awardees.
- Cost of IELTS test will be met by AusAID for the shortlisted candidates who take the test after 5 February 2012 and are successful in the preliminary screening.
- Applicants with disability, who otherwise meet the eligibility criteria, will be supported throughout the selection processes and while studying in Australia.
