All applicants must undertake an English language test (IELTS). The result of the IELTS test will be forwarded to the university during the placement process. Your level of English must be equivalent to an average IELTS level of 6.5 with no band less than 6. Some degree courses may have a higher IELTS requirement.
Australia Awards will also facilitate IELTS testing for awardees, who have clearly demonstrated their ability to reach an IELTS score of 6.5 with no band less than 6 during the initial selection process.
Once you achieve the English Language score of 6.5 with no band less than 6, you will still need to meet English language requirements for entry into the proposed university; and obtain a visa from the Department of Immigration and Citizenship.
